Practitioner Membership
Bringing practitioners together.
Building public understanding.
Advancing the integrative wellbeing industry.
The Alliance for Integrative Wellbeing is creating a powerful professional and public platform for the holistic, complementary and integrative practitioners who contribute to whole-person wellbeing.
Not another membership that gives you a badge and sends you the occasional newsletter.
AIW is being built to inform practitioners, promote the profession, increase public understanding, support practice growth and create serious opportunities for professional and personal development.
We're building the platform.
We're building the audience.
We're creating the events, publications, resources and conversations.
And we're inviting you to be a part of it.
What will AIW do for you?
Keep you informed
Working in the wellbeing industry means navigating an evolving professional landscape.
Industry standards change.
Regulations and advertising requirements develop.
New research emerges.
Insurance requirements shift.
Questions arise around scope of practice, professional responsibilities, terminology and ethical practice.
Finding reliable information — and understanding what it actually means for your practice — isn't always straightforward.
AIW will help do that work for you.
We'll research and share relevant developments across the integrative wellbeing industry and translate important information into clear, practical updates.
We'll keep an eye on:
- industry standards and developments;
- relevant rules and regulatory changes;
- advertising and marketing requirements;
- professional and ethical practice;
- scope-of-practice considerations;
- insurance developments;
- emerging research;
- government and industry announcements; and
- issues that may affect the way you practise or run your business.
Build public understanding
This is one of the biggest reasons AIW exists.
We're here to make integrative wellbeing better understood, more visible, and part of a broader conversation about whole-person health and wellbeing.
We'll take that conversation beyond our membership through public education, media, interviews, articles, digital content, conferences, specialist summits and conversations with practitioners, educators, researchers and health professionals.
We want more people to understand that wellbeing doesn't have to be approached through one discipline alone.
Holistic and complementary practices don't need to compete with one another — or with conventional healthcare.
Different approaches can bring different knowledge, skills and perspectives to the bigger picture of supporting the whole person.
The more the public understands integrative wellbeing, the greater the opportunity for the practitioners working within it.
Give the industry a bigger voice
AIW will actively advocate for the integrative wellbeing industry.
AIW will actively advocate for the integrative wellbeing industry.
Our advocacy will be professional, constructive and informed.
We'll raise important questions.
We'll share research and information.
We'll invite knowledgeable people into the conversation.
We'll create forums where significant wellbeing issues can be explored from multiple perspectives.
And we'll actively promote greater recognition and understanding of the contribution holistic, complementary and integrative practitioners can make.
Our aim isn't to tell people what choices they should make.
It's to make sure integrative wellbeing is part of the conversation.
Help people find you
Promoting the industry is important.
Promoting the practitioners within it matters too.
Every AIW Practitioner Member will have the opportunity to create their own dedicated Practitioner Profile Page within the AIW website.
This is much more than a directory listing.
Your page can become your own professional space within AIW, with a unique web address that you can share with prospective clients, include on your social media profiles, add to your email signature or use wherever you promote your practice.
Your Practitioner Profile Page can include:
- your name and professional title;
- your photograph;
- your business name and logo;
- an introduction to you and your practice;
- the modalities and services you offer;
- your areas of professional interest;
- your location and whether you work online;
- your contact details;
- links to your social media profiles;
- links to your booking platform;
- a link to your existing website, if you have one; and
- information about how prospective clients can work with you.
If you already have a website, your AIW page provides another professional pathway for people to discover you and connect with your practice.
And if you don't have a website yet, your AIW Practitioner Profile Page can give you a simple professional online presence without needing to build one.
Practitioners will also be searchable through the AIW Practitioner Directory, helping people explore different approaches to integrative wellbeing and find practitioners offering the services they're looking for.
As the AIW audience grows, we'll also create opportunities to showcase members and their expertise through practitioner features, articles, interviews, educational content, social media and other AIW channels.
Our aim is not simply to tell the public about integrative wellbeing.
We want to help them find the practitioners putting it into practice.
Help you build your practice - and yourself
Professional knowledge is only part of building a successful wellbeing practice.
You also need:

Less theory - More practical support you can put to work in your practice — and your life.
Professional events created for your industry
The Integrative Wellbeing Conference
Specialist Summits
A major part of AIW will be our professional conference program.
The Integrative Wellbeing Conference will bring together practitioners, educators, researchers, health professionals, industry partners and speakers for two days of professional and business development.
This isn't intended to be a wellness festival.
It's a professional conference for the integrative wellbeing industry.
Expect professional education, emerging research, practice development, business and marketing education, experiential learning, expert speakers, panels and opportunities to discover what is happening beyond your own discipline.
AIW Practitioner Members will receive preferential member pricing for selected conferences and events.
Specialist Summits
Some wellbeing issues deserve a dedicated conversation.
AIW will develop specialist summits that bring together people with different expertise and perspectives to explore significant physical, mental, emotional and social wellbeing issues.
Rather than asking one profession for all the answers, we'll ask: What can we learn when we bring the right people together?
These summits will help create conversations that cross traditional professional boundaries and contribute to the wider public and professional understanding of integrative wellbeing.

The Journal of Integrative Wellbeing
AIW members will receive access to the Journal of Integrative Wellbeing — bringing useful professional information together in one place.
The Journal will explore:
- emerging research;
- industry developments;
- integrative approaches;
- professional practice;
- expert perspectives;
- practitioner interviews;
- business and marketing;
- professional development;
- new ideas and emerging disciplines; and
- important conversations affecting whole-person wellbeing.
Our goal is simple: Find information worth knowing - Bring together people worth listening to - Make it useful to your practice.
